The Ulster Championships is go for Bangor!
The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association Northern Ireland Branch is pleased to confirm that the 73rd Ulster Pipe Band & Drum Major Championships will take place in the beautiful and spacious surroundings of Ward Park, Bangor, on Saturday 1 August 2026.
This year’s championship is proudly supported by Ards and North Down Borough Council, whose partnership enables the Branch to deliver this flagship annual event to the standards that our bands, drum majors and spectators expect.
The Ulster Championships remain one of the most significant fixtures in the Northern Ireland local pipe band calendar, drawing competitors and supporters from across the province and beyond. Bands and drum majors will compete for the prestigious title of Ulster Champion, one which celebrates excellence whilst honouring a long and proud tradition.
