Ulster Piping & Drumming Solo Championships 2026

Event Info

Times and Locations

• Doors open: 9:00am.
• First competitor performances: 10:00am.
• All practice rooms are located in Coolnafranky Building.
• Piping & Bass/Tenor competitions will take place in the Coolnafranky Building.
• Snare competitions will take place in Block 2 (same as last year).
• Novice prizes will be announced in the Boys’ Gym (Coolnafranky Building) at approx 1:00pm.
• Main prizes will be announced in the Millar Hall (Coolnafranky Building) at the end of the day, when both A Grade Piping and A Grade Drumming have concluded.

Competitor Registration

• On arrival, please proceed to Boys’ Gym (Coolnafranky Building)
  Through the main doors and turn right.
• All solo trophies should be taken to this area also.
• A reminder that no band / drum major trophies should be brought to this event. (See here)

Admission for spectators

• £5.00 for all non-competitors. An event programme will be included.
• Cash, card and contactless accepted.
• Competitors and their accompanying pipers do not need to pay admission.

Parking

• Please park considerately within the school grounds.
• Any cars parked inappropriately will be asked to move.

Food & Drink

• Catering will be available on-site, provided by Glaze & Roll.

• Please demonstrate respect at all times.
• This event is made possible with the help of our volunteers who are on duty to help and assist you.
• There is a zero-tolerance approach to any abuse of our volunteers and event officials.
