Playing Requirements
Grade 1: | March, Strathspey and Reel (Minimum 4 parts ‘Big MSR’) Medley (5-7 Minutes) [Submit 2 – own choice] |
Grade 2: | Medley (4-6 Minutes). |
Grade 3a: | March, Strathspey and Reel. |
Grade 3b: | March, Strathspey and Reel. |
Grade 4a: | March, Strathspey and Reel. |
Grade 4b: | March Selection. |
The event will begin at 11.00 and finish with a massed band display at 5.30 p.m.
The event is a joint venture between the Irish Pipe Band Association and the Northern Ireland Branch of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association and hopes to attract at least 60 pipe bands from all corners of the island of Ireland . At least one overseas band has so far indicated its intention to compete, the North Texas Caledonia Pipes and Drums from the USA.
Entry to the event is FREE so come along and enjoy the spectacle of the best pipe bands in Ireland as they compete for the coveted title of All Ireland Champion.
Camper vans will be accommodated onsite as long as they have booked a space and abide by the rules and regulations of Newbridge House & Farm.

Camper Vans
Only drivers with camper van passes will be admitted to the grounds of Newbridge House. Camper vans should arrive on site between 17.00 and 20.00 as the gates of the demesne are locked at night for security. Each driver will be issued an emergency telephone number for use in case of having to exit in an emergency. bidryan50@gmail.com
