Following noted concerns last season, we have introduced a change to the process for bands and drum majors returning their trophies.

This year, in accordance with RSPBA rules 4.73 and 4.74 (as below), all bands and drum majors are requested to return their trophies to the Branch office at one of the times listed below. This includes all branch, section, and All Ireland trophies.  (Trophies for major championships should be returned directly to RSPBA Headquarters.)  Solo trophies are to be returned on the morning/day of the relevant solos.

This form must be completed and returned along with the trophies; it must be signed by an RSPBANI official to confirm receipt.

TIMES TO RETURN TROPHIES TO THE OFFICE
Monday 2nd March 10am – 4.30pm
Tuesday 3rd March 1pm – 8.30pm
Wednesday 4th March 10am – 4.30pm
Thursday 26th March 10am – 4.30pm
Friday 27th March 10am – 4.30pm

If a trophy has been lost, it is the responsibility of the band or Drum Major to notify the Branch Office as soon as possible. The band or Drum Major must provide a like-for-like replacement, at their own expense, fully engraved with all previous winners.

For any queries or to notify the office of a lost trophy, please e-mail: contests@rspbani.org or telephone 0752 636 3296 during business hours.

LOCAL COMPETITIONS

4.73 Trophies shall be returned clean and in good condition to the promoter before the start of the relevant grade or in compliance with the promoter’s wishes.

4.74 Failing to return trophies clean and in good condition and in compliance with the promoter’s wishes will result in the Band, solo competitor or Drum Major being fined an amount as determined by the Board of Directors and shall be suspended until the fine has been paid to the Company’s registered office or the Branch concerned and the trophy returned to the promoter.
