Important Information for bands/spectators attending Heart O’ Down Championships
There is a Met Office weather warning in place for rain and stronger winds in the area.
Storm Antoni is expected to bring unseasonably wet and windy conditions and may lead to some disruption on Saturday morning.
Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. Please take extra care on the roads when travelling to Newcastle in the morning.
Please could all patrons also give due consideration to the weather warnings in place when erecting any gazebos or tents tomorrow. Ensure that all equipment is adequately secured and suitable for use in the weather conditions forecast.
Reminder that all bands/persons are responsible for their own equipment and should ensure that all appropriate insurances to cover their use in public is in place. RSPBANI and/or NMDDC does not accept any responsibility or liability.
Thankfully the weather is set to improve throughout the morning and into the afternoon.
