Important Information for the 2023 Season

  • Registration Checks
    • The RSPBA Directors on duty will perform registration checks at all contests this year
    • As per rule 3.6.1 (see below), a paper copy of the band’s registration list must be carried by the Pipe Major or his/her assistant at all contests
      • 3.6.1. The Pipe Major or his/her assistant at all contests or competitions on request of the Company representative make
        available the computer printout, and assist in confirming the details tally with those who have competed
  • Signing In
    • Bands should sign in at the tent when they arrive at the venue
  • Final Tuning
    • It is the responsibility of each band to present themselves at the relevant final tuning area ahead of their playing time
  • March Past
    • All bands should prepare for the march past as soon as the last band has played to avoid delays
    • Any band that cannot take part in the march past must seek permission to be excused from the contest secretary in advance of the contest
