World Champion Tutor – Alicia Dickson-Hamilton

Alicia started as a drum major for a marching band, but to further build on her skills, she joined a drum major class. After some encouragement, Alicia entered her first Pipe Band Championship when she was only 10 years old and was awarded 4th in the novice grade.

 

Alicia’s impressive competitive career then spanned for 21 years, winning Ulster, All Ireland, Scottish, British, UK, European & World titles.

 

Not only has Alicia gained competitive success, but Drum Majoring has presented her with lots of other amazing opportunities. Alicia has been privledged to perform as part of the Belfast International tattoo and to teach Royal Military Drum Majors. The love of Drum Majoring has also sent Alicia as far as America & Australia.

 

The Pipe Band College NI are delighted to have Alicia as a tutor and she will be teaching in a COVID safe outdoor location in Kinallen.
