On Thursday the 4th of August Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council hosted a Civic Reception at the Island Centre Lisburn for New Zealand Police Pipe Band. The band are competing at Moira in the Lisburn and Castlereagh City Championships on Saturday, 6th of August and then travel to Glasgow for the World Pipe Band Championships on the 13th and 14th of August.
The Deputy Mayor, Alderman Stephen Martin welcomed them to the Borough of Lisburn and Castlereagh and wished them every success in the forthcoming competitions.
