I attended the Belfast Peace Proms in the Odyssey Arena on Sunday 8th February and would like to congratulate all who took part in the absolutely sold out afternoon show. It was a real feast of entertainment and all of the performers put on a really wonderful show. Those talented young people that were performing with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland really were superb and the enjoyment of the Orchestra leaders in developing and performing with such talent is obvious to all.
I as you would expect looked forward to the contribution from the young pipers and drummers who took part. I was not disappointed, the music and the standard of piping and drumming was outstanding from all those who took part. It is very heartening to see our pipers and drummer gelling together seamlessly with an orchestra and taking every advantage of the opportunity to make great music together. Well done to all involved
