The much anticipated Bann river contests took place Sat with a backdrop of clear blue skies and a very large and appreciative audience. The decision by the Down Section to move to this outdoor event to trial run this venue was said by many to be a winner. While we could have had a few more bands event the ones that withdrew right up to that morning. It will be a decision by the section on wheather we continue with this event and we would be interested to hear peoples comments on all aspects of this contest you can email me on gha9291112@aol.com

The march past changed somewhat and was a success having all bands in positiion within minutes.
The street parade went ahead for the first time with 17 bands taking part. We wish to thank all who supported this first event.
