The results of the Final contest of the season at Portrush are attached
The final contest to be held by the branch has ended in sunny Portrush. The event was a huge success again with large crowds in the town and at the contest arenas. We started at 1130am and performances continued until around 4pm. The senior final of our drum majors was then held in the main arena. The finale while a little slow to start which was understandable ended with our parade of world champions this received rapturous applause from a very vocal audience. So we did not stop there after the mayor got her salute as chieftain and the prizes presented we went on the usual street parade of Portrush. Where I was standing the crowds were 20 deep in places they went wild when the bands marched past it was a great end to the season. My thanks to all who made it possible to our sound engineer Colin and the people who bring the seating unit we are greatful to you all.
We sincerely thank the Duncan, Byrne, and Black families for the donation of memorial trophies we accept them with grateful thanks.
Season over where did it go, well now we plan 2016 on your behalf thank you all.
