A number of agencies have come together in order to stream the European Pipe Band Championships live from Belfast on Saturday, 30th of July. The project will be delivered by Lurgan Junior High School (Northern Ireland) and is part funded by the Ulster-Scots Agency with special assistance from the local RSPBA NI Branch. This is a first of its kind for the school and as well as live streaming the Grade 1 contest, they will also record several other elements of the Championship and will aim to carry out interviews with participants and spectators throughout the day.

President of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, and NI Branch Chairman George Ussher says “this exciting opportunity arose through discussions between Lurgan Junior High School and our Branch Secretary David Scott and we are looking forward to showcasing the event to all those from around the world who are unable to be with us in Belfast for the Championships.”
